The pair headline UFC 194 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in a bout that fans have been waiting for all year. Aldo and McGregor were scheduled to fight back in July before the Brazilian champion pulled out because of a rib injury.
McGregor will finally get the chance to show he is No 1 in Sin City this weekend.
The glitz and the glamour of Las Vegas is the perfect setting for a man synonymous with showing off his lavish lifestyle – McGregor is becoming the Floyd Mayweather of the UFC world.
And the 27-year-old, who is a former plumbing apprentice, will want for nothing during the build-up to the biggest fight of his career as he take up residence in a luxury mansion.
The Irishman, who stayed in a similarly swanky property (as shown in the YouTube video below) last time he fought in Las Vegas back in July, took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a picture alongside the caption: ‘The new and improved Mac Mansion!’
The impressive six-bedroom home ‘Vegas Views’, renamed the Mac Mansion by McGregor, is situated in its own gated 1.5 acre compound on Sunrise Mountain and features spectacular panoramic views of Las Vegas.
The setting is a far cry from the area of Dublin that McGregor grew up. Crumlin, a suburb of the Irish capital where McGregor lived until he was 17, is regarded as crime hotspot.
McGregor will have no such worries in his luxury accommodation, which houses custom-made Italian furniture, and whose guests include the rich and famous from the entertainment and movie industry.
The mansion boasts everything McGregor could possibly need to stay relaxed and healthy as he prepares for Saturday’s blockbuster fight, including a 50-foot infinity pool and luxury 10-person spa overlooking the bright lights of the Vegas strip.
Each bedroom comes compete with en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe and a state-of-the-art kitchen, used in filming American TV show ‘Top Chef’, to ensure McGregor has all his culinary requirements met as fight night approaches.
If it’s kicking back and relaxing that ‘The Notorious’ requires, he need look no further than the property’s entertainment suite which features two TVs, video games consoles, an air hockey table and even a disco ball for late-night fun.
The room also houses the mansion’s gym with weights, exercise equipment and a treadmill so McGregor can maintain his peak physical condition as he prepares for the world title fight.
If it’s outdoor entertainment McGregor is after, he can host a barbecue on the pool terrace or even enjoy a round of pitch and putt on his private course within the 1.5 acre plot.
McGregor is famous for his expensively assembled fleet of cars and the property has a garage large enough for several limousine’s if he wants to fly his collection over.

McGregor said during an interview with the Wall Street Journal he is obsessed with fighting in the same way Vincent van Gogh was consumed by his art.
The Irishman, who has also compared himself to Jose Mourinho and Rocky Balboa to name just a few, said he has become insane through his focus on mixed martial arts – which pleases him.
‘I’m so lost in it (fighting) that I can’t imagine anything else,’ McGregor told the Wall Street Journal. ‘Like Vincent van Gogh. He lost his mind in his game. I have lost my mind also. But I am happy with that.
‘I feel to reach the high pinnacle in anything you do, you must almost become insane to what you are doing.’
