The brunette beauty’s first stop was the TODAY show, where she chatted with broadcaster Hoda Kotb.
She said that her book was inspired by her sister Christina: ‘We’re so close in age — we did everything together — so I wanted to write a children’s book that was celebrating the relationship between sisters.’
And she also made a joke about her brother.
‘My brother Patrick posted about my book last night, and he’s like: “I’m unclear why this isn’t called Good Night, Brother,”‘ she said with a laugh. ‘OK, relax Patrick.’
Katherine, who’s mom to daughters Lyla, two, and Eloise, nine months, layered a long black coat over her outfit.
She was spotted with a bodyguard as she made her way around the Big Apple with a green Goyard bag slung over one shoulder.
In her left hand she carried both her encased iPhone and a square-shaped black bag with a secured zipper.
Katherine, the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, hit the pavement, in a pair of white high-heels.
Her face was fully done up as she bustled around the busy city to plug her second children’s book, which highlights the power of sisterhood.
The mother-of-two wore her shoulder-length dark, lustrous locks in a deep center part with loosely styled waves.
She looked ready for business after taking to social media to get fans hype for her newest project.
Earlier in the day she wrote in an Instagram caption: ‘GOOD NIGHT, SISTER is finally here!
‘Today’s the day when you can finally get your copy of this beautiful story and celebrate sisterhood!’
The star, who has four siblings, gushed: ‘Thank you to everyone who helped make this book possible, from my sister Christina who inspired it, to @illustratelucy who illustrated the book, to the teams @penguinkids and @dupreemiller.’
The New York Times bestselling author continued, ‘I can’t wait to see this book out in the world, being enjoyed at bedtime, apart of your good night routine! Get your copy now in my link in bio, and make sure to join me on tour!’
Schwarzenegger also shared a photo from her time on the morning show and said, ‘No better way to kick off GOOD NIGHT, SISTER Pub Day than with a stop @todayshow and @hodaandjenna!!’
She added, ‘So much fun finally getting to see @hodakotb and @jennabhager in person, especially since both have sisters and daughters, and truly understand the bond of sisterhood that this story is about! Get your copy now in my link in bio or story!’
Sharing even more content with her one million followers, she took to the photo-sharing platform’s Stories feature.
Mrs. Pratt looked pristine as she posed while sitting on a bed with a coffee mug before stepping out.
Her hair was freshly styled with two pink clips holding the locks off her face as she snapped selfies.
The author’s face was expertly made up by her glam squad, Taylor Fitzgerald and Dina Dipietro.
She wore a gray and pink tie-dye top and stacked multiple gold necklaces as she noted, ‘It’s a glorious day to launch a book!!’
Good Night, Sister was created with inspiration from Katherine’s relationship with Christina.
About her trip to NYC she told Hoda, ‘I brought both my girls [Lyla and Eloise] with me, my mother, and my sister. Everybody’s here helping me.’
‘I wanted to do this book about sisters to celebrate the relationship Christina and I had growing up and that we’re still so lucky enough to have today,’ she opened up.
The proud big sister noted about their adolescence, ‘We did everything together. We’re 19 months apart, so I think we had a lot of lumping together when we were growing up.’
And they’ve found separate identities as adults, Katherine added, ‘I think that it was really just such a special relationship, which is why I wanted to write a book just to celebrate that sister bond.’
