The difference between Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur’s legs after his ACL injury has left fans stunned.
Uruguayan international Bentancur suffered a serious knee injury during Spurs’ 4-2 defeat against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
After scans revealed an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Bentancur’s season drew to an early close.
Now, whilst in rehabilitation, Bentancur has posted footage of him working in the club’s training facilities. You can watch the footage below.
After seeing the video, fans were quick to point out the difference in leg muscles between Bentancur’s left and right leg.
One fan said: “He’s lost so much muscle on his leg.”
Another tweeted: “The size difference of his two legs, a long road to recovery.”
A third fan added: “My gawd ACL tear is disgusting.”
Someone else wrote: “Crazy how quickly that muscle tone goes.”
Whilst a fifth commented: “Isn’t it amazing how quick muscle can atrophy? Astonishing.”
However, Bentancur will be able to regain the muscle in his leg once he starts training and running on the pitch towards the end of his recovery.
This season, the Uruguayan has developed into one of Spurs’ most important players, having scored five goals in 18 Premier League appearances.

Conte spent a turbulent 16 months in charge of Spurs, but last weekend’s scathing rant about the club, the players and the owners proved to be the final straw. The Italian blasted the players for ‘not wanting to play under stress’ during his post match press conference.
At the moment, former boss Mauricio Pochettino and Julian Nagelsmann, who was sacked by Bayern Munich last week, are the front-runners for the job.
Spurs will return to Premier League action next week when they take on Everton on Monday.
