Not enough money, Liverpool regretfully withdrew from the race for Bellingham

Liverpool decided to stop pursuing midfielder Jude Bellingham because they realized that the financial potential was not enough to compete with rivals.

The England international is expected to return to his homeland in the summer of 2023 when he receives interest from a number of Premier League teams such as Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or Man United. Dortmund is ready to listen to offers for Bellingham because the summer of 2022 is an opportunity for them to make big money from this deal.

But latest, Liverpool are no longer in the race to sign Bellingham, according to The Times. Liverpool will certainly experience a busy summer transfer window. Obviously, it’s time for Liverpool to reform their squad and will target at least two rookies in midfield.

The biggest problem is the £130 million Dortmund offer for Bellingham. Moreover, Liverpool also do not want to waste time with Dortmund because they understand, the German team will play hard in this deal.

Coach Klopp is a big fan of Bellingham but Liverpool could turn to cheaper targets like Mason Mount and Youri Tielemans, who will be in the form of $0 when the 2022/23 season ends.

Thus, the opportunity will belong to Chelsea and Man United or PSG in the race for Bellingham . Real Madrid are also said to be interested in Bellingham but are not willing to meet Dortmund’s hefty asking price.

Dortmund, despite shouting high prices to sell Bellingham, still want to keep him, at least one more season. They are even willing to increase Bellingham’s salary by 150%, up to £ 13 million a year, but the former Birmingham player still does not agree.
