How Patrick Mahomes’ wifre turned negative comments into inspiration
Brittany Mahomes, wife of NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes, recently found herself the target of online harassment during an Instagram Q&A session.
While most of the questions were respectful, one fan took things too far, calling her a gold digger. But Brittany didn’t let the insult slide, firing back with a response that shut down the troll’s baseless accusations.

“I wish I dug and found gold,” Brittany quipped, effectively silencing her attacker.
This isn’t the first time that Brittany has had to defend herself against vicious online comments. Being married to one of the most recognizable faces in sports can put a target on your back, and Brittany has had to deal with her fair share of criticism. But despite the challenges, she’s proven time and time again that she’s much more than just Patrick Mahomes’ wife.
Brittany Mahomes continues to champion women’s sports
For starters, Brittanywas a standout soccer player during her college years at the University of Texas at Tyler. She even played professionally inIceland, where she was signed by UMF Afturelding/Fram. But rather than pursue her own athletic career, she chose to support her husband’s dreams and start a family.
But Brittany hasn’t given up on sports entirely. In fact, she’s now a stakeholder in the Kansas City Current women’s soccer team, which she helped found. And it was her passion for soccer that ultimately convinced Patrick to join the ownership team.

Beyond her involvement in sports, Brittany is also a successful personal trainer and fitness entrepreneur. She’s built a thriving business while juggling the demands of motherhood and supporting her husband’s career. So it’s clear that the “gold digger” label is completely unfounded and unfair.
Brittany may not owe anyone an explanation for her choices in life, but it’s inspiring to see her speak up and defend herself against the haters.
