Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter addresses the chances of the iconic heroine possibly returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.

Krysten Ritter, who starred as the titular character in the MCU’s Jessica Jones, addresses the chances of the superhero making her way back to the franchise. As Marvel Studios continues to tell The Multiverse Saga, the MCU is beginning to see the return of some beloved Marvel TV characters, particularly from the Netflix properties. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is officially a big part of Phase 5, as he is set to star in his own show, Daredevil: Born Again. But with that door open, it has raised questions about whether other The Defenders characters are on their way back to the MCU.

One of them is Ritter’s Jessica Jones, whose Netflix show ended after only three seasons before Marvel Studios began producing their own series through Disney+. During a recent appearance on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Ritter was directly asked about chances of returning to the MCU. While Ritter had no idea if there were plans for Jessica to come back, the actress made it clear that she would jump at the opportunity the second Marvel Studios approaches her.

I have no idea; I hope so! I think that people love Jessica; I know because I live it. Marvel is so secretive – I am just putting that out there that, of course, I would be there in a second. I would have my boots and jacket ready to rock.

Which MCU Projects Could Jessica Jones Return In?

If Jessica ever returns to the MCU, it raises a new question about what projects she could appear in. One of the obvious options is Daredevil: Born Again, as the show could serve as the beginning of The Defenders heroes reuniting after all these years. Since Matt Murdock and Jessica still live in the same city, a reunion wouldn’t be a hard story to execute.

Rumors suggest that Cox’s next appearance in Echo could feature the hero looking for one of his Defenders allies. It was even rumored that Jessica would be the team member he was searching for throughout Echo season 1. Whether or not those rumors were ever true remains to be seen as Marvel Studios have been keeping details under wrap about Daredevil’s role on that show.

With Ritter being such a fan-favorite, it feels inevitable that Jessica will be back in the MCU at some point. Whether it would be through other characters’ MCU films and shows rather than having her own series again is up to Marvel Studios. But hopefully, in one way or another, Jessica Jones will be back in the MCU sooner rather than later.
