According to People , the 47-year-old actress and humanitarian activist was present with Maddox, 21, at the state banquet – where President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden welcomed South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee. Angelina appeared gorgeous in a white dress and classic Chanel jacket. She incorporated striking gold jewelry. Meanwhile, Maddox wears a long elegant black suit and ties of the same color.

According to a statement from the White House, the dinner “celebrates the 70th anniversary of the US-Korea alliance”. The event was attended by 200 guests including leaders, senior officials and celebrities.
A source close to Jolie told People : “Asia-US ties are very important to Angelina’s family. She and her children have close ties to the region, including Korea, in the past. Maddox studied at Yonsei University in Seoul. Angelina has visited Korea many times in humanitarian activities and as an artist. Angelina and Maddox are honored to attend this State Dinner.” .

Maddox, the Cambodian adopted son of Angelina Jolie, started studying at Yonsei University in Seoul in August 2019. Angelina once brought her son to Korea to study and visit the school’s dormitory.
