Teams, Logos revealed for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson-owned football league
After the announcement of the relaunch of the American football league, XFL on February 18, 2023, the league has revealed the team names and logos for it’s eight franchises on Monday. The league has introduced a new team San Antonio Brahmas while two teams including Houston Roughnecks and St. Louis Battlehawks remained the same for the 2023 season.
Dany Garcia, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Gerry Cardinale’s RedBird Capital are the new owners of the XFL after they purchased the league for $15 million in 2020. On July 24 this year, XFL announced eight host cities for the 2023 season .
In an official release, XFL Chairwoman and Owner, Dany Garcia said, “Each team’s identity represents the fabric of their local community while also embodying the XFL’s vision and ethos: they are authentic, dynamic, modern, and unapologetically bold. We can’t wait to see our XFL fans representing their favorite XFL teams this upcoming season.”
