A recent behind-the-scenes video has revealed the process of creating lifelike masks in Ariana Grande’s new MV.
One of the scariest scenes in Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left To Cry” MV is the scene where the singer sits on the floor and peels off her face like a mask. Surely everyone wondered how Ariana and director Dave Meyers made this scene and finally the answer has been revealed.
In the second behind-the-scenes video of “No Tears”, we were able to see every detail of Ariana’s lifelike masks.
Ariana admits: “I want you to know that making them is extremely haunting. I had absolutely no idea how scary they would be. I don’t have Claustrophobia, I didn’t. I thought they’d be a bit scary, but making this mask is really one of the scariest things.”
She’s not lying – in the video we can see Ariana’s face has been smeared with a green paste and wrapped in bandages like a mummy. Even so, the singer is still very “happy”, she also enlisted to transform into Julie Andrews and Jennifer Coolidge (two veteran actresses) and play with her scary toys.
Possibly the most interesting part of this behind-the-scenes video is the fact that it gave fans a closer look at the objects around Ariana in the unmasking scene. On the floor, you can see a pair of bunny ears, very similar to what she wore during the release of “Dangerous Woman” as well as a sketch of the singer and a page with the lyrics on it. “No Tears”.
At the same time, the camera also skimmed through a list of songs that are speculated to be on her third album, which fans are frantically checking.
Hopefully the third video in the behind the scenes series of “No Tears Left To Cry” will reveal even more interesting things!
