Even at 38 years old, LeBron James continues to make the impossible look easy. After a 2-10 start for the Lakers and relentless criticism all year long, James has somehow pulled his team out from the brink, and they will get closer to the title with a win over the Warriors tonight.
While James putting in work on the court is hardly news at this point, he showed up at the arena more than four hours early to shoot around and get himself warmed up for the battle to come.

James made headlines in Game 3 after going nearly scoreless in the first half. He did eventually get it going and actually finished the game with another masterful performance.
In this case, however, fans can sense that James is extra-locked in and is doing everything he can to give his team the edge in this crucial game.
While this year doesn’t stand out compared to other years, LeBron likely senses the opportunity in front of him. With his revamped roster, he and AD have enough to get past the finish line, and now all that’s left to do is execute the game plan and hope that everybody stays healthy.
James has never been unwilling to put in the work, and it’s nice to know that that hasn’t changed even after all these years. And while we haven’t yet seen AD or other Lakers follow his lead, there’s no doubt that LeBron’s work ethic is setting the example for everyone about how serious this playoff run really is.

As great as things have been so far, the job is not yet finished for the Lakeshow. With two games still to win in the series, they aren’t even halfway to the finish line despite all the hard work they’ve put in.
Fortunately, the Lakers have gotten good at responding with their backs against the wall, and they aren’t expected to take it easy tonight.
LeBron wants his faith championship, and for the first time in years, it looks to be within his grasp…
