The Golden State Warriors are down 3-1 against the Los Angeles Lakers right now, and there’s no doubt that this is a bad position for the team to be in. Few teams have managed to win a series after falling to that sort of a deficit, but it is definitely possible.
Recently, Stephen Curry claimed that the Warriors have “confidence” that they can figure things out and come back in the series. He noted that the goal is to “focus on Game 5” first and foremost.
“You definitely use it,” Curry said. “There’s a confidence that we can figure this out. Just focus on Game 5, and take it from there. You can’t fast-forward to the end.”But we have a lot of confidence in our ability to take the good things from tonight and protect our home court. That’s all you can do right now. Gotta maintain positivity, knowing how tough this was tonight. But, (there’s) a long way to go.”
It will be interesting to see how the Golden State Warriors respond to their loss in Game 4. Game 5 will be in San Francisco, so it is quite possible that we’ll see a convincing win from the team.
With Stephen Curry at the helm, this series is far from over for the Golden State Warriors. He is averaging 30.6 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 6.0 APG in the playoffs thus far, and the Warriors will need a big-time game from him next to have a chance of winning the series.
Anthony Davis Wanted To Guard Stephen Curry In The Clutch
Guarding Stephen Curry is no easy task, but it seems as though Anthony Davis was willing to do so in the clutch. He noted that he took the matchup personally and added that he knows where Stephen Curry’s spots are.
“I pride myself on defense,” Davis said. “They wanted obviously to switch with me and I took that personal. I know where he gets to, like his step back three and I just wanted to move my puppies… I just wanted to move them puppies and keep them in front and make him take a tough shot and that’s what I did.”
We will see if Anthony Davis will do a good job defensively in the next game against the Golden State Warriors. Though he won’t be the main matchup on Stephen Curry, he will have to do well when guarding him to help the Lakers win against the Warriors.
