Lisandro Martinez is in line for a bumper pay rise after a successful first year with Manchester United.
The Argentine defender has proven himself as a top performance since joining from Ajax in a £55million deal last summer.

Since then he has gone on to make 45 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring one goal in the process.
As a result, United are keen to improve the terms of his current contract at the club.
According to The Sun, Martinez currently earns £120,000 a week at Old Trafford with a new deal said to increase his salary to around £170,000.
Now a World Cup winner after lifting the crown with Argentina last year, the 25-year-old is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
Unfortunately for him, Martinez’s season has been brought to a premature end after breaking a metatarsal in a Europa League clash with Sevilla last month.
Speaking about the injury on social media, Martinez said: “Not the way I imagined what’s been a very special season would end, but sometimes we face obstacles along the way that we have to overcome to make us stronger and we learn from them.

“I know that I’ll be back soon to go for more. In the meantime, I’ll continue to support my team-mates to achieve our objectives.
“The messages and support I’ve received has been amazing, they’re giving me strength and encouragement.
“Thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart.”
