The couple had been making an attempt to have a child for a number of years and ᴛʀᴀɢɪᴄᴀʟʟʏ sᴜFFᴇʀᴇᴅ ᴛᴡᴏ ᴍɪsᴄᴀʀʀɪᴀɢᴇs alongside the way in which.
Natasha O’Grady and her husband Ryan from Isleworth, London had become ᴡᴏʀʀɪᴇᴅ that Natasha may ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ have children and unsurprisingly spent a lot of the ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ Fᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ that ʜɪsᴛᴏʀʏ may repeat itself. But the couple feel so ‘blessed’ that all worked out well and they are ɴᴏ w proud parents to three adorable daughters Onyx, Maddox and Quinn, who are four months old. The couple describes the moment they Fᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴏᴜᴛ they were having triplets as ‘sᴜʀʀᴇᴀʟ’.
Natasha’s ᴊᴏᴜʀɴᴇʏ to motherhood first began in January 2019. The couple were elated when they Fᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴏᴜᴛ they were having a baby but as the weeks passed, she began to ʙʟᴇᴇᴅ and an ᴇᴀʀʟʏ sᴄᴀɴ ᴄᴏɴFɪʀᴍᴇᴅ there ᴡᴀsɴ’ᴛ ᴀ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙᴇᴀᴛ. Then in March of 2020, the pair Fᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴏᴜᴛ they were expecting for the second time. Natasha ᴇxᴘᴇʀɪᴇɴᴄᴇᴅ ᴄʀᴀᴍᴘs, but as there ᴡᴀsɴ’ᴛ any ʙʟᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ, she tried to ʀᴇᴍᴀɪɴ ᴘᴏsɪᴛɪᴠᴇ that things would work out. She said :”Sᴀᴅʟʏ, I was ᴡʀᴏɴɢ. I ᴄᴏʟʟᴀᴘsᴇᴅ at home and I ᴡᴀsɴ’ᴛ ʙʀᴇᴀᴛʜɪɴɢ properly. My ʙᴏᴅʏ went into ᴛᴏᴛᴀʟ sʜᴏᴄᴋ as my ʙᴏᴅʏ ʀᴇᴊᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ the ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ. As I was taken out on ᴀ sᴛʀᴇᴛᴄʜᴇʀ by the ᴘᴀʀᴀᴍᴇᴅɪᴄs, my ʙᴏᴅʏ was ᴛʀᴇᴍʙʟɪɴɢ and I ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴏᴜᴛ . I was taken into theatre as I began to ᴘʀᴏFᴜsᴇʟʏ ʙʟᴇᴇᴅ and they needed to operate immediately.”
The whole world wants to portray ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ as this seemingly, perfectly smooth ride. It’s ɴᴏ t until you’ve been through it that you realise this simply isn’t the ᴄᴀsᴇ Fᴏʀ ᴀ ʟᴀʀɢᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴘᴏʀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴏF sᴏᴄɪᴇᴛʏ. ɴᴏ thing could prepare us for our ᴊᴏᴜʀɴᴇʏ to parenthood. She added :” I ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ thought ᴀ ᴍɪsᴄᴀʀʀɪᴀɢᴇ would happen to me and that’s simply because it’s a topic that isn’t openly talked about e ɴᴏ ugh which drastically needs to change. It was ᴇxᴛʀᴇᴍᴇʟʏ ᴛʀᴀᴜᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ ʙᴏᴛʜ ᴍᴇɴᴛᴀʟʟʏ and ᴘʜʏsɪᴄᴀʟʟʏ, and I began to believe I may ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ become a mum. When I Fᴇʟʟ ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ for the third time, there was ɴᴏ celebration hugs or jumping up and down in the bathroom. The sʜᴇᴇʀ ᴡᴀᴠᴇ ᴏF ᴘᴀɴɪᴄ ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴇɴɢᴜʟFᴇᴅ us again and that is the sᴀᴅ ʀᴇᴀʟɪᴛʏ of ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ ᴀFᴛᴇʀ ʟᴏss, you truly believe it’s going to be ᴛᴀᴋᴇɴ ᴀᴡᴀʏ from you at any moment.” After the couple’s first ʟᴏss, Natasha threw herself into planning the perfect wedding to ᴅɪsᴛʀᴀᴄᴛ herself from the ɢʀɪᴇF.
She said :” I didn’t really k ɴᴏ w how to ᴅᴇᴀʟ with and process the situation or felt I had anywhere to turn so instead tried to carry on as if ɴᴏ thing had happened. I found myself ᴅᴇsᴘᴇʀᴀᴛᴇʟʏ sᴇᴇᴋɪɴɢ something to fuel my focus on. Ryan and I decided to bring our wedding forward to August 2019. It was the ᴡᴏʀsᴛ decision we could have made.” Natasha was leading a healthier life and ᴄᴜᴛ ᴀʟᴄᴏʜᴏʟ ᴘʟᴜs ᴄᴀFFᴇɪɴᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴏF her life whilst focusing heavily on ɪᴍᴘʀᴏᴠɪɴɢ ʜᴇʀ ᴍᴇɴᴛᴀʟ ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ. Natasha said: “Nearly a year on, I found myself in the bathroom peering down onto that familiar stick again.
The two blue lines would be the change and the step to giving us both our happiness back. Yet, I instantly Fᴇʟᴛ sᴄᴀʀᴇᴅ that ʜɪsᴛᴏʀʏ is going to repeat itself. At 13 weeks, my ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ ʙʀᴏᴋᴇ into ᴀ ᴍɪʟʟɪᴏɴ ᴘɪᴇᴄᴇs when I Fᴏᴜɴᴅ ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ ᴀɢᴀɪɴ. We had mentally tried to prepare to hear those ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙʀᴇᴀᴋɪɴɢ ᴡᴏʀᴅs again. But at the 14-week sᴄᴀɴ, the So ɴᴏ ɢʀᴀᴘʜᴇʀ revealed three ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜʏ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙᴇᴀᴛs. So to hear we were actually already passed the first ᴛʀɪᴍᴇsᴛᴇʀ and ᴄᴀʀʀʏɪɴɢ three healthy babies was the ᴄʀᴀᴢɪᴇsᴛ moment of our lives. We have ɴᴏ ʜɪsᴛᴏʀʏ of triplets in our family so we feel completely blessed. It is like we were given back all of our babies.”
The triplets were ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇᴅ ɴᴀᴛᴜʀᴀʟʟʏ and born at 33 weeks. She said: “Going from ɴᴏ children to a parent of three overnight has been ᴀ ᴛᴏᴛᴀʟ ᴡʜɪʀʟᴡɪɴᴅ, but Ryan and I work so well, together as a team to give our girls the happiest lives we can. We truly believe we’ve been blessed with this incredible gift as it’s sᴏ ʀᴀʀᴇ to have triplets and couldn’t be more grateful every day that our girls were born into the world healthy and safe after such an incredibly scary ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ. Some days are hard as we try to adjust, but seeing three smiling faces staring back at you makes it all worth it.”
