Dwight Howard is on a recruiting spree, and a quick look at the players he’s trying to lure to Taiwan sure makes his squad an unstoppable superteam.
Imagine Howard suiting up with the likes of James Harden, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Chris Paul in Taiwan. Throw in some more names, Ben Simmons, Julius Randle, Deandre Ayton, and Jordan Poole, that’s one elite list.
Howard’s recruiting clips have gone viral on social media. Soon after the Phoenix Suns were eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs, he urged Chris Paul to join him and did the same when James Harden’s Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Boston Celtics.
Earlier, he posted a story of an image of some of the big stars eliminated from the playoffs in the Leopards jersey, implying he agrees that the players could come to Taiwan and ply their trade.

And he didn’t stop there. Earlier, he recruited Ja Morant, who is in the middle of being hamstrung by another gun incident. “Aye Ja you gone get it right! I’m still with you if anyone else ain’t you could come out here to Taiwan if anything just leave it home.”
It’s unlikely that any of these players will even consider moving away from the NBA, but Howard’s in good spirits, and surely the jest will not have irked any of the superstars. But imagine all of them in the T1 league. It would pretty much be one blockbuster scenario in Taiwan.
Is There Hope Left For Dwight Howard To Make An NBA Comeback?
Howard’s performances for the Leopards were pretty impressive and showed the caliber that made him an NBA champion.
The eight-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year proved to be an effective player coming off the bench. Even in Taiwan, he was a force averaging 23.2 points, 16.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists during the regular season. Add to this a solid performance in one of the games where he recorded 38 points, 25 rebounds, nine assists, and nine blocks.
Dwight Howard’s chances of making a comeback are pretty bleak, but teams will now have some interest, given his T1 league exploits. He’s still in good shape and has some mileage, so it shouldn’t be a surprise if we see him back in the league in some capacity in the near future.
