Erling Haaland’s pre-match habit has been spotted and plenty think he’s copying Cristiano Ronaldo.
Haaland has a number of routines he goes through, including eating his dad’s lasagne before every game and waking up to the Champions League theme song.
But supporters have spotted his new practice whenever Manchester City play, particular on big Champions League nights.
UEFA fixtures consist of a mandatory pre-match squad photo, with Haaland typically standing next to City goalkeeper Ederson
At 6ft 4, the Norwegian goal machine towers over a number of his teammates and yet Haaland still feels the need to stand on his tiptoes.

It’s happened on many an occasion, including both legs in the 5-1 aggregate semi-final thumping of Real Madrid, as Haaland looks to give him an extra height advantage even though he absolutely doesn’t need it.

He was seen doing it in the Qatar World Cup campaign with Portugal while he was stood next to Ruben Dias and wearing the captain’s armband.

And plenty of people have picked up on Haaland channeling his inner CR7, with many all in agreement.
One said: “Bros trying to be like his idol Cristiano”.
Another wrote: “He did his idol CR7”.
A third added: “He is copying Ronaldo in every single thing”.
A fourth agreed: “Haaland did exactly what his idol Cristiano did.”
A fifth user wrote: “Fairs Haaland,he’s doing that Ronaldo tip toe stance.”
A final person summarised: “CR7’s influence is gargantuan.”
Haaland has scored 52 goals in 49 games in his debut campaign at City, though he drew a blank against Real after being denied three times by Thibaut Courtois.
Still, he’s smashed the Premier League goals record and could finish with some huge bonuses if City finish the season with a historic treble.
