Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has welcomed Scott McTominay back from injury.
Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford both returned from injury this week, rejoining the Manchester United squad for training.
While Rashford had only missed one match, Scott McTominay had been out since United’s April victory at home to Everton.
This covered a span of eight matches in all competitions he had missed, with Fernandes starting every one.
Bruno Fernandes message to Scott McTominay
Scott McTominay made a big impression in his last game, scoring the opening goal in the victory at home to the Toffees.
After McTominay returned to training earlier this week, he yesterday sent a message expressing his happiness at being back with his teammates.
Fernandes responded with a simple message, with the word ‘finally’.
Fernandes is clearly glad to get his teammate back, especially at a time when United have just lost Marcel Sabitzer for the rest of the season due to injury.
McTominay will be available for the visit to Bournemouth on Saturday. United then host Chelsea and Fulham, with two wins needed from the three games in order to seal a Champions League spot for next season.
This will be followed by the FA Cup final against Manchester City. Scott McTominay has scored against them before, and the academy star would surely love to score the winner.
