As the eldest son of a football superstar and a high-profile WAG, Kai Rooney was perhaps always destined for fame.
But now it can be revealed that at the tender age of just 13, Kai – who is the son of Wayne and Coleen Rooney – is already earning his own living as a social media influencer.
He has been plugging a series of sports and fashion brands – one of them being his mother Coleen’s favourite fashion shop, Cricket.

In recent days Kai has been posting about a competition to plug the latest Puma football boots as part of a lucrative deal with the sportswear giant which he signed last summer.
He advertises the brand repeatedly to his 85,000 followers. Recently, he also posted about Puma’s back to school range, in which he was sitting on a picnic table alongside a rucksack.
In another post he showed a picture of himself on a billboard in high street chain JD Sports.
Industry sources say that the deal ‘won’t have been worth hundreds of thousands but would still have been lucrative, especially for someone his age’.

However, it is Kai’s photoshoot for the Liverpool-based fashion boutique Cricket, which is perhaps more surprising – given his father played for arch rivals Manchester United, as well as Everton.
Cricket became the most talked about shop in Britain in the early to mid noughties when WAGs such as Mrs Rooney, Steven Gerrard’s wife Alex, and Peter Crouch’s wife Abbey Clancy raised its profile for regularly shopping there.
On his Instagram page, which has been made official with a blue tick, Kai is seen standing in a studio. Alongside the picture he wrote: ‘Thanks for having me @cricketfashion. I am officially part of the CRICKET community.’

The Rooneys are of course no strangers to social media. It was on Instagram where Mrs Rooney began the famous Wagatha Christie court battle after accusing rival WAG Rebekah Vardy of leaking stories about her to The Sun newspaper.
Family: Kai also followed in Wayne’s footsteps by signing for his old team Manchester United’s academy in 2020
Sports experts suggest that her son is set to become a footballing superstar. Kai is already following in his father’s footsteps by signing for Manchester United, where he plays in their under 13’s team.
Sources close to the Rooneys say that Kai is a ‘lovely, kind and down to earth’ young man whose priority in life is to play football.
‘Kai is a great kid’, said one. ‘Despite growing up in the limelight, Wayne and Coleen have done a fantastic job with him. He’s a delight.’
He is the oldest of the couple’s four sons, the others are named Kit, Klay and Cass.
Mrs Rooney has spoken of her pride at her boys’ love for football and rarely misses their matches.
