Kim Kardashian has admitted she’s started drinking coffee and alcohol again in a bid to ‘let loose a little bit’.

The reality star, 42, who is known for her strict diets, said she’s not afraid to let her hair down anymore, after previously ditching alcohol because she ‘hates the taste’.

Speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow on her Goop Podcast, Kim said she likes to indulge in some tequila shots every now and then after a busy day.

‘I started to drink a little bit at the age of 42. Coffee and alcohol,’ Kim said.

‘I feel like I just gotta let loose a little bit.’

She said she likes tequila and pineapple shots, saying: ‘It just has to be a little shot of pineapple and a shot of tequila. I have two shots and I’m like so good. It’s been fun.’

Kim has often spoken about being teetotal, but in 2017 indulged in some tequila while in a bikini.

‘I do not drink alcohol at all,’ Kim once told People magazine. ‘My sisters drink, so when they get a little crazy, I am there to pull them down.’

She added at the time: ‘I’ve never really been a drinker. I hate the taste of alcohol.’

A source also told People in 2018 that Kim ‘rarely’ drinks.

‘She drinks here and there, but mostly abstains. She may have a glass of champagne on a holiday or for someone’s birthday, but it’s rare.’

Kim is known for following strict diets and earlier this year admitted to losing 16lbs in just three weeks in order to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress for the MET Gala.

The star said she cried when she realised she didn’t fit into the iconic dress during a first try-on, but went on to lose weight just so she could model the dress for mere minutes on the red carpet.

‘I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein. I didn’t starve myself, but I was so strict,’ she told Vogue.
