Either Arsenal or Oxford United will face a trip to the Etihad in the FA Cup fourth round.
With the Gunners playing later than other fixtures, the draw for the next round has already been made, and it spikes some interest for Arsenal.
Following Manchester City’s 4-0 dumping of Chelsea last night, the winner of tonight’s tie will make the trip to the Etihad to take on Pep Guardiola’s champions in the next round.
On paper, not the easiest of ties however it’s not one that Mikel Arteta would fear, considering the last time we faced City in the FA Cup, Arsenal were 2-0 victors at Wembley in the semi-final of the cup.
The Gunners also saw off City in the semis of the 2016/17 campaign, where Arsenal won in extra time thanks to an Alexis Sanchez strike in the 101st minute under the arch of Wembley.
With the FA Cup, anything can happen so it’s best not to think so far ahead, as Oxford United will enjoy hosting the Gunners in an all to play for tie tonight.
