Messi and Mbappe are forced to reunite at PSG

Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe had an awkward interaction when they first reunited after the FIFA World Cup final at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), according to El Futbolero.

Messi and Mbappe were the two protagonists as Argentina and France played in perhaps the best World Cup final in history. La Albiceleste won the trophy last month after their clash at the Lusail Iconic Stadium ended 3-3 after extra time.

Mbappe became only the second player ever to score a hat trick in a World Cup final, but it was futile as France failed to win the world championship for the second time in a row.

Lionel Messi, who scored a brace in the match, added the last silver trophy to his trophy cabinet with a World Cup win. After the intense final, Messi’s team-mate Emiliano Martinez repeatedly mocked Kylian Mbappe during Argentina’s celebrations.

Therefore, many people predict it will be very awkward when the duo meet again at their club, PSG. According to the above source, the reunion of Messi and Mbappe recently was very fake and awkward. However, the duo later engaged in a joint training session and everyone in the club was of the same opinion about the duo’s potential cold wars.

The members of the great team in Paris are working hard together for the sake of success in the country and in the major European arena UEFA Champions League.

Coach Christophe Galtier’s army currently leads the Ligue 1 championship race with 47 points after 18 matches. They are 6 points higher than the second ranked team, Lens. PSG also easily reached the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, where they will face Bayern Munich in an exciting match on February 14. Both Messi and Mbappe, along with Brazilian forward Neymar, will have to be at their peak if they are to beat the Bavarians.

Lionel Messi returned to play for PSG on January 11 in a 2-0 win over Angers. However, Kylian Mbappe was absent from this match because he was on vacation. Mbappe then returned to training and always tries his best to be part of the team that will take on Rennes on January 15. Four days later, PSG will play a match in Saudi Arabia against rookie Ronaldo’s Al Nassr team.

Now, fans can see all three of Paris’ attacking superstars play together for the first time since the World Cup. Messi has scored 13 goals and has 14 assists in 20 games for Galtier’s men this season. Mbappe is also in brilliant form, as the French superstar has scored 20 goals and provided five assists in 22 games this season. Neymar also makes effective contributions to the overall success of the club.

PSG will need both Messi and Mbappe, Neymar firing at full capacity if they want to achieve their long-standing Champions League ambitions, while the national championship trophy seems to be within reach.
