David Seaman feels Harry Kane might equal Jimmy Greaves’ Tottenham goalscoring record on Sunday but does not care as long as Arsenal win.

Kane, 29, has been in superb form his season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions. His latest was the only goal of the game as Spurs beat Portsmouth last Saturday to reach the FA Cup fourth round. That strike lifted him to 265 career goals for the north Londoners.
And he now needs just one more to move level with the late, great Greaves.
The stars may be aligned for the England skipper to achieve the feat against their fierce rivals. And for former Gunners keeper Seaman, that would be too much to take.
“There’s something on my mind about this North London derby,” he said on his Seaman Says podcast.
“It’s at Tottenham and someone’s really close to a goalscoring record. Please no, we’ll never hear the end of it.
“I was listening to this morning on the radio and heard he’s one off equalling it, and I was like: ‘oh no’. No, I don’t want that to happen at all.”
Kane has been on fire since the World Cup break. Having scored twice in Qatar, the Walthamstow-born ace bagged against Brentford and hit a double against Crystal Palace.
The Pompey strike made it four in four games and he will face Arsenal full of confidence.
Seaman desperate for Arsenal glory
Arsenal have exceeded expectations so far this term. They will head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium five points clear of Manchester City.
Spurs are down in fifth and 11 points behind their neighbours. It seems unlikely that Antonio Conte’s side will bridge the gap to the Gunners.
And, with Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle all above them, it would take an extraordinary sequence of results for a title challenge.
Arteta’s charges hold all the aces at present. And Seaman confessed that he does not mind Kane taking the individual plaudits as long as Arsenal take all three points.
“Yeah, definite, all day long,” he added. “I would take 5-4. It’s all about winning. It’s not about how you play.”
Kane a thorn in Arsenal side
Kane has proved himself to be a world-class striker over many seasons. He equalled Wayne Rooney’s record tally of 53 England goals at the World Cup.
And but for a penalty miss against France in the quarter-finals, would now be the Three Lions record scorer.
He also enjoys playing in the North London Derby. The ex-Leicester City loan star has notched 14 times against the Gunners.
Unsurprisingly, a few clubs have been linked over the years. City were on the case a few years ago. But, despite having his head turned, Kane remained with Tottenham.
United have recently been mentioned in connection with the talented hitman.
He is still young enough to make a big move but it will have to happen sooner rather than later.
However, top of Kane’s wish list this weekend will be another goal and added misery in the Seaman household.
