Erling Haaland suffered a game to forget against Manchester United ins Saturday’s derby with the Manchester City star unable to have any influence on the game.
Pundits and fans alike rushed to social media to point out the often-formidable striker was far from his best in a no-show display against his side’s biggest rivals.
Marcus Rashford was at the heart of the action at Old Trafford, with Bruno Fernandes equalising despite the England star being in a clear offside position, before converting the second goal of the game himself in the 2-1 win.

And Dietmar Hamann suggested that his side are better without him, writing: ‘Man City was a better team without Haaland, even if he scores 40 goals this season.’
Jamie Carragher suggested that the Norwegian was being played as a false nine by Pep Guardiola, who claimed: ‘Haaland coming very deep in the build up for City, false 9!’
But the pundits were not the only ones to poke fun at the striker, with several viewers quick to take to social media and have their say on Haaland’s abnormally quiet display.
The Premier League’s leading goalscorer, the 22-year-old has 21 goals already in the campaign from only 17 appearances, but was unable to add to that tally on Saturday at Old Trafford, with both of his attempts on David de Gea’s goal off target.

Another claimed: ‘Genuinely feel City would have actually beaten United if they played Haaland.’
A third said: ‘If only had City played Haaland, maybe they would of created a few chances. Unlucky.’
A fourth stated: ‘Erling Haaland genuinely did nothing for 95 minutes.’
